Design Class Day 1

On Day 1 of Design Class, We learnt the meaning behind the word Design and how originated.
The word design comes from the French word 'Desin' which means to draw.
A design is made up of three elements a Point, Line and Shape.
We were assigned three tasks:
Task 1 was to take an A3 page of 4x4cm squares, and in each square draw points, dots and marks and label which one seemed 'the most confused', 'the loudest' and 'the quietest'.
Task 2 was to fill the 4x4cm squares with various types of different lines and this time label which ones was 'the calmest', 'the strongest' and 'the most unsteady'.
Task 3 followed with the same concept, but this time it was to fill the boxes with different types of solid shapes, this time naming which one was 'balanced', which one was 'showing movement', and which one was 'the most interesting'.
Our next task was to go outside with a camera and Photograph images of the three elements of Design (point, line, shape).
I found today quite interesting as wherever you walk outdoors the elements of design is all around you, that's why it was easy to Photograph those elements, because they're everywhere.
The images below are examples of Point, Line and Shape. Click Here to be direct to the Larger Images on my Facebook Page. Hope you enjoy :)
